Welcome to

THE AFFORDABLE SPAY NEUTER
CLINIC AND PET CARE

Over 24 thousand successful surgical and dental procedures since 2008. Now in our 17th year.

                                ANNOUNCEMENT       02/14/2024

Due to the progression of IBD, our surgeon, Dr. Silberman, will be receiving medical care over the next period of weeks to months that will limit our capacity to provide medical and  surgical care during this time. We anticipate a return to a full surgical caseload within the  next 2 - 4 months.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.  Our front desk will continue to remain open and patient refills will be dispensed as needed. We will be updating our status and providing more information on our face book page very soon.  As  always, thanks most of all for having your pet spayed or neutered.

The Affordable Spay Neuter Clinic and Pet Care provides medical and surgical care emphasizing low cost spay and neuter services for the southeastern Pennsylvania region. We have performed over 23 thousand successful surgeries and dental procedures since 2008 at our current location and many thousands more since 1987 for rescue organizations, emergency facilities and in private hospitals. We are also equipped to treat both well and sick patients by appointment.

Surgeries are performed Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and patients are seen Monday thru Wednesday and on Fridays.

What to Expect at ASNC

The Affordable Spay Neuter Clinic and Pet Care houses exam and treatment facilities, an in-office laboratory and pharmacy, digital x-ray, a dual surgical suite and a post-op recovery area where  patients are carefully monitored throughout their time at ASNC. We keep our patients very close before, during and after anesthesia.

Evaluations are performed on all patients before surgery and high quality, customized anesthesia and pain relief medication are always administered. We utilize only freshly sterilized surgical instrument packs (of course) for every procedure in the operating room and all physiological needs are addressed as required. All patients are housed in their own warmed hospital cages and are closely monitored electronically and with great attention until safely back in your arms for the ride home.

Your family member will be the beneficiary of nearly 40 years of ongoing improvements and innovations in many of the surgeries that we do every day. We are dedicated to performing the most essential surgeries - that almost every pet will need - at a specialty level while doing this work for 50% less expense to you. We believe that routine surgery or dentistry for your pet should not require a financial hardship to pay for it. Expense is one of the main reasons that pets are relinquished and destroyed.

It is likely that ASNC was the first privately owned, purpose built spay/neuter surgical hospital in the country. Diane and her dedicated crew have also placed over 15 thousand unwanted pets into good homes since 1989 at Diane's Adoption Center located upstairs. The Adoption Center has partnered with ASNC since 2008 to privately rescue, treat, sterilize, patch up and place as many unwanted pets into good homes as possible before they are exterminated. Every adoption is a life saved. Every euthanasia due to cost (or inconvenience) is a tragedy and an indictment.

Thank you for your trust in ASNC. We hope and expect that you will see the difference in the surgery that your pet receives. Our mission remains as strong as ever and we are trying every day to be the best in the world at what we do.

Why have your pet spayed or neutered ?

According to the Humane Society of the United States, every year, between six and eight million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters; some five to six million of these animals are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. Additionally, there are some significant health benefits from having your pet sterilized, including the prevention of certain types of cancer and the prevention of some dangerous behavior problems. A large study just released by the University of Georgia found that sterilized dogs will live, on average, 1.5 years longer than their intact siblings!

At The Affordable Spay Neuter Clinic and Pet Care, we work with you to provide the best possible care for your pet, from adoption until the end of the trail.
